BIAC came out with its first press release in June, and the launch of BIAC has now been widely and glowingly covered by both the national and local press. BIAC's President, Jared Hubbard, was quoted in articles by Law360, the Boston Globe, and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
As Tai-Heng Cheng, global co-head of the international arbitration practice at Sidley Austin explained to Law360, "Boston has the potential to develop as an arbitration center given its robust industries in intellectual property, life sciences and private equity." The Globe noted that we are "hoping to vault the city's arbitration business into the upper echelon, and maybe help some of our other top-shelf industries while [they're] at it." And Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly noted that BIAC is "ramping up its efforts to promote Boston as a destination for international arbitration."
